90.365 If only you knew. If only you knew how I prayed so many times to see you smiling just like this while you ate a mere one year ago. If only you knew how many tears you cried when we tried to feed you. If only you knew how many tears I cried when I felt like the worst mother in the world because you stopped eating altogether, even giving up nursing. If only you knew how helpless I felt when we couldn't get any answers but you continued to lose weight. If only you knew the relief I felt when we finally got the answer that you were aspirating and especially when we received the news that you wouldn't need a feeding tube in your belly after all. If only you knew the irrepressible joy I feel every time I see this smiling, silly face as you eat your favorite foods of summer sausage, cheese and peas. If only you knew all this, you would know just how much I love you, my dear sweet beastie. ♥
