I can say with some bit of certainty that on the evening of Sloan's newborn session, I was probably her least favorite person. Cute and sweet as she is, she was anything but pleased with me and showed it. But to be fair to Miss Sloan, I should have known better about the time of day, the flash because we had no sun, the environment. All in all, though, I think they turned out well, and I hope to see her again in the spring when we can be outside in the beautiful, warm sunshine! I can't wait to see how she's grown! It was so fun and beautiful to see Jake and Brittany as parents, as I've photographed their engagement, wedding and maternity photos. What an amazing little family!

I take a lot of photos in a session. Like, seriously. A lot. I'm talkin' hundreds. One of the most difficult parts of photography for me is cutting back, because every photo becomes so personal to me that I can't bear to cut it from the edit batch. Maybe it's something little like the way her hair looked in that photo or that he had a really good smirk, or perhaps a child with a mischievous twinkle in his eye. When clients are as awesome and perfect together as Lexi and Kyle, it makes the task of cutting back near impossible. This session was a dream to edit, and I greatly enjoyed our session together. Isn't she going to make a gorgeous bride? Congrats and best wishes to the engaged couple as they start their life together!
