"How much good inside a day? Depends how good you live 'em."
                                                                           - Shel Silverstein, "How Many, How Much"
Picture
176.366 Look at you sitting at the table like a big girl! Usually you stand on a chair or sit in your high chair, but all of a sudden, you want to sit in a chair instead. But watch out, that little baby is eyeing your food!
Picture
177.366 You're rolling all over the place these days, and it took no effort at all. On June 2, you rolled to your belly, and by June 17, you could roll to your back. By mid-June, you were even trying to sit up. Slow down, Baby Jo!

178.366 The old days when you wore sleep sacks all day, every day, and you even sucked a paci instead of your thumb. You still sleep in your swing many days, but you're making the move to your crib. If not for your pesky teeth, you'd be the best sleeper ever.
Picture
Picture
179.366 Our first zoo visit of the year, and Baby Jo's first visit ever. Your favorite animals of all, the tigers, came up to the glass, and in all my years of going to the zoo, I've never seen them up close until then. You rode the carousel, we made friends with some little birds in the Rainforest, you tried to pull a kangaroo's tail, and Baby Jo slept through it all. Overall, one of the best zoo visits ever. (June 8)

Picture
180.366 Your face when your big sister comes out of nowhere and photobombs you while you're having your portrait taken.
Picture
181.366 Why invest in toys when you can just leave the suitcases lying about to play in?
Picture
182.366 Daddy read "Five Little Monkeys" to you and asked if you jump on the bed. You said no. He asked if Mommy jumped on the bed. You said no. Little does he know what we do when he's at work!

“I will not play at tug o’ war.
I’d rather play at hug o’ war,
Where everyone hugs
Instead of tugs,
Where everyone giggles
And rolls on the rug,
Where everyone kisses,
And everyone grins,
And everyone cuddles,
And everyone wins.” - Where the Sidewalk Ends
Picture
169.366 "I love Cubs more than cupcakes." Well, Cupcake, judging by your chubby little cheeks and thighs, I hardly think that would be the case if you could get your dimpled hands on a cupcake!
Picture
170.366 What a good helper you are, letting Foo Foo in the house and giving her treats. "Silly Foo Foo," you say.
Picture
Picture
171.366 You love your exersaucer for all of ten minutes at a time. It's interesting that you are most intrigued by the octopus, which always captured your Big Sister's attention too. Speaking of Big Sister, she's tried getting in the exersaucer a few times too, sometimes with you in it! (May 27, 2016)

Picture
172.366 When it was finally warm enough to grill out and Daddy taught you how to grill hamburgers. Your Daddy is an expert griller, and you were a good little pupil so that I think you'll be an expert griller someday too.

173.366 For the love of donuts. I feel this way about them too.

174.366 Kentucky Derby 2016. You've even got the hat. We missed winning big money and buying a house in Ireland by only one horse in our trifecta pick!
Picture
Picture
175.366 You sweet, sweet girl. You were bitten in the eye by a mosquito and your eye swelled completely shut---this isn't the first time. But you seem not even to notice a single thing has changed. What a beautiful, happy little girl you are.

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” - Mark Twain
Picture
162.366 Walking to the car for our Mommy-Daughter Date, you noticed some ducks flying overhead and quacking. "Hi ducks!" you yelled as you watched, waving. You say hello to everything and everyone these days.
Picture
Picture
163.366 Little Baby, how you've grown! Already holding your head up so strong and happy to sit in the bumbo for the first time. -Apr 29, 2016 The next day we documented the bumbo feat. You have to suck on your fist and sometimes your thumbs. Then you noticed your sweet, chubby feet, entranced. Of course, Big Sister was jealous and wanted to try out the bumbo too, which got a good fit of giggles.

164.366 We read "Time for a Hug" (my favorite because I get lots of great hugs) and "Giraffes Can't Dance" (Here you are pretending to be an elephant). Then we played "Mr. Bear, Mr. Bear, Are You Awake?", had a tickle fight, and learned how to shake our hair wildly, which is your new favorite because of your amazing bouncy curls which have gotten so long.
Picture
Picture
165.366 Baby Margaret must have been fussy because you calmed her and swaddled her and placed her in the baby swing. You are actually quite natural at holding your babies, patting their bottoms, and saying "It's okay, Baby. Shh. Shh."
Picture
166.366 Your Poppy made this beautiful Trolley for Christmas, and it has certainly gotten its mileage. "Ding! Ding!" you say as you push it along.
Picture
Picture
167.366 Is there anything that gives a tired mommy greater relief than when a little baby falls asleep in the car and stays asleep all the way to the nursery? Baby carrier naps are the best!

168.366 What lucky little girls you are to know your aunties so well. Aunt "Cece," as Big Sister calls her, stays with us some weekends to help me get you girls to church in the morning if Daddy's working, and she has become a big hit in our house.
