Sometimes our co-workers can be the greatest blessings to our lives.

Jamie is one of my co-workers who has become a great friend and someone who can share parenting tips and stories. She is one of the strongest women I know, going through some of the most heartbreaking trials in one short year but always looking at the positive things in life and smiling through it all. She is part of a leadership group in our area, runs a successful cosmetic business and a cake decorating business and works full-time, all while being a loving and wonderful mom and wife.

Her family is absolutely beautiful and sweet. Her little boys couldn't look more different: one with dark features, brown hair and brown eyes, and the other fair-skinned, blond hair and blue eyes. But they are both absolutely precious and handsome. And her husband is a supportive and an outstanding father. What a wonderful privilege to photograph this happy family!

Despite the fact that this crazy, rainy spring threw a wrench in planning for a session, we ended up with a beautiful, sunny evening for Little Miss Cathern's session. I am so blessed to have clients who share their families with me, allowing me to photograph their children as they grow. I have had the privilege of working with Cathern's mom at my other job for years now, and she is an awesome gal. I just know from knowing her parents that Cathern is going to grow up into an awesome gal, too. I have been so honored to photograph her as an itty bitty baby, her one year photos, and now her two year photos. She is adorable and a born leader....she definitely led the way for her session, as most two year olds do, which is why their sessions are often more candid than posed! Two is one of my favorite ages because they're starting to form likes and dislikes and favorite things and doing the funniest things. Cathern is a great two year old and was a sweetheart to work with once again.

Watching families grow through various stages of life is one of my favorite parts of being a photographer.

I have photographed this family's engagement session, wedding, maternity, family, and newborn photos, and now I finally got to meet their sweet and adorable 6 month old! She was happy and calm the entire session and absolutely pleasant to work with, and her sister is so full of joy and energy and just beautiful. There couldn't be a sweeter family.
