{Hard light} is the theme this month for Erin Hensley's Finding the Light Group, and while this is not the light I use the most, I love the shadows and light that it creates. If you're a photographer who is not part of Erin Hensley's Group, you should definitely join. This group has pushed me, encouraged me and really changed my photography. I can't help but see light and shadows everywhere now. These ladies are amazingly supportive and helpful. You don't have to use it as a 365 Project, but there are monthly light themes to help you explore different types of light.  213.365 I think you may be an abstract artist someday. There seems to be little method to your coloring madness.  214.365 I love your little shadow, especially the shadow of those wild curls.  215.365 Sometimes you need a break mid-coloring to collect your thoughts and ponder life.  216.365 The drawer with your cups and bowls in it is unfortunately just the right height for your curious little hands.  217.365 The little statue of Mary with the head that's broken off dozens of times is just your height, and you love to talk to her and pat her head.  218.365 When we're ready to go somewhere, you grab your sandals and wait on the step for me to put them on your feet. You can be the sweetest and most well behaved little girl sometimes.  219.365 In the mornings, you ride out to the barn with me in your jammies to feed the animals. Look at that amazing bed head, but you don't care.

These are some of my all time favorite clients. Easygoing, great models, and these girls just get more and more beautiful with each session. Their dad is my best friend's brother, and he always gave me the hardest time in college about my goody two shoe ways, which was somewhat true. :) I usually just get to photograph the girls, but I loved that this time I was able to photograph the entire family. They had such a great time together, and the girls were especially silly, which is great, because I love for my clients to feel super comfortable around me. The best photos are those when you can see the real personality. I can't wait until their next session already!
