I have been photographing this beautiful little girl since she was growing in her momma's belly over a year ago, and she has been such a pleasure to work with. This has been the first time she's ever been unhappy during a session, and it was not her fault. Poor baby just wasn't feeling great, and you could tell she wasn't her normal, happy self. She did okay most of the time in her mommy and daddy's arms, but the second they put her down, the tears started flowing. I feel bad that we didn't get to fit in all of the beautiful ideas that her mommy came up with, but next time (which is next month :) ). Glad Baby Girl was feeling back to normal for her beautiful Evelyn in Wonderland birthday party! Happy 1st Birthday, Beautiful Girl! Can't wait to celebrate many more birthdays with you!

I've actually learned A LOT from the {hard light} theme this month. I think it's one of the hardest we've had yet because there are such huge differences between the light and shadows and having to meter for both. But I know and hope that I'll learn much more before the month is out! I see such beautiful photos in our group this month, and I won't deny I'm insanely jealous of how well the other girls capture {hard light}. As explained in my last blog post, the theme for this month in Erin Hensley's Finding the Light group is {hard light}. I'm doing a 365 Project, but I don't just take one photo a day. I usually take several photos over 5 or 10 minutes as a series, but some days I don't pick up my camera at all. These days, naps take priority over any other household duties or personal photography. Our kitchen gets a great deal of hard light in the morning in patches of the kitchen floor. As I was preparing breakfast and realizing that this was a great opportunity for my 365 Project, I enticed my Sweet Girl to sit in this light with her coloring book and crayons. She was excited about the light as I was, it seemed. Since I had taken so many photos in this short time span, I wanted to make this a documentary session about her coloring process. Hope you have a wonderful day, and thanks for looking! <3
