Project 366: Days 106-112
“In the eyes of a child, there is joy, there is laughter, there is hope, there is trust, a chance to shape the future" song lyrics from The Eyes of a Child by the band Air Supply
106.366 Beautiful Baby Girl, with your deep blue eyes. While Mommy gets your sister dressed, you lie on her bed looking out the window. And once a week we take your photo in that same spot so that after a year we'll see how much you've grown. I can tell you already that it will be bittersweet to look back on this time and remember how very little you were in that moment.
110.366 The weather is warming, and we can go for walks in the cornfield now. Our neighbors over the fence own horses, and you like to go see them on our walks. Daddy holds you, and I think of how strong his hands are around your tiny little body. You two are becoming buddies, you and Daddy. Sometimes you both sit in silence, but you seem to think the same thoughts.

I just can't believe how big these kids are getting. I remember taking Nash's newborn photos, and it seems like so long ago, but then again like yesterday. Until recently, the weather has been downright cruddy....rain, wind, snow, hail. Nash and his family love the Tin Caps, and when the team isn't playing, the stadium is open to the public. It just so happens that when we planned to take Nash's photos, it was rainy, windy and bitterly cold. You'd never know from his photos though. He was a trooper and made it through a good portion of the session before saying "enough is enough!" I love taking these guys' pictures. This family is fun and silly, and every session is different. Can't wait to see what's in store for the next one!
