My last session of the year is always bittersweet. I'm always excited to spend more time with my family and hopefully (fingers crossed!) get some of our own photos edited and printed.
What a way to end the photo year! I rarely get senior sessions because I'm known most as a family and children's photographer, but I loooove senior sessions! In fact, I think this is the only one I've had this year, and it was ah-mazing. Seriously, this session with Valerie has me swooning. She is absolutely gorgeous, and from what I hear, she's also a crazy talented actress. I couldn't ask for a more beautiful and fantastic session. Perhaps she should have a second career as a model, because she made Good luck at college next year, Valerie!! Thank you to all of my clients this year. You make my world go round, and I value my loyal clients as well as the new. I hope I get to work with you all next year, too! I'll be posting my calendar for 2016 in January, so book early, but sessions won't begin until spring. You can bet that as soon as the weather begins to thaw, the schedule will get full quickly, so make sure you book your session fast! I'll be posting photos throughout this winter, so don't stop watching the blog, Instagram, or Facebook page!

Although I'm primarily known as a family/children's photographer, I really love photographing seniors. Unfortunately, I rarely get the opportunity, so this family has been good to me, because I've now had the chance to photograph two of their kids' senior photos. (Okay, so I feel old because I'm calling a high school senior a kid...sorry, Zane. I'm showing my age here.) Zane was awesome to work with. Sometimes guys can have a particularly difficult time knowing how to pose or which expression to make, but I had zero issues getting Zane to get just the right shot. Usually with guys, I alternate serious, tough looks with smiles, and for Zane we had those looks, but we added another...."one for mom." Because you know moms love to see their kids smile with their teeth showing! So we'd say "A serious face, a smile, and one for the mom." Soon, Zane would just make those 3 expressions in a row without me even asking. Good luck in college, Zane! Hope you get to do all the great things you want to do! Thanks for being awesome!
And P.S. to all you high schoolers out there....I'm booking for 2016 Senior Photos, so drop me a line on the contact page, or send me an email! My availability schedule is on here, too. This poor girl has the patience of a saint waiting for her photos, and I hope she finds they are worth the wait. I don't get to see Celeste anymore, and I miss her. She is one of the sweetest, kindest, prettiest girls I know. I don't get a lot of senior sessions, but I really love them (so Class of 2016, drop me a line and book your session!). :) Thanks for being such an awesome model, Celeste, and best wishes for your post-high school goals!
